Hi,
I was thrilled to read this article of yours. I was not aware of BPO Union previously until I read in the metro now publication circulated along with the Times of India about Genpact atrocities to vintage employees. In my case, if you listen to it you will not be able to stop your self from laughing. I joined Genpact Jaipur around july-Aug 2006 as a fresher. They provided training for around 1 month. I was hired for Dell process. As soon as Genpact came to know that the Dell is not interested in their services anymore and planning to leave Genpact, the HR told me to quit the company immediately by writing a resignation letter and completing their internal exit survey or I will be forcefully terminated which would be very bad for my career as no other company would hire me. Scared of their tactical intentions, I wrote a hand written resignation and left immediately. Few months later I joined other company and Genpact came to know about it. They sent me court notices and the case is still going on in a Jaipur court. Most importantly other people who joined with me also left Genpact but there was no case registered against them. I was left alone to fight my own battle in court. Now they are following delaying tactics and getting dates extended from court. They are changing their lawyers and everything fearing that the court’s decision might go against them.

I had been employed by Iyogi Technolgy .In due course of time there was a guy who troubled me .
I wrote a mail to them asking to take action against the irritant guy .They asked the guy to leave .Then we had the test .wherein i score 93 % and 91 % .I was sent to retraining .In the name of call they didnt clear me .In retraining again the same thing happened .the company has a record to ask 3 girls who had complianed of any dignity issue throug some or the other means .
Kindly suggest what needs to be done .
I am ready for a big legal fight .
Anticipating a revert and a direction wherin i can take this issue .

Hi,

Can anyone give me a true picture of Vertex at Gurgaon. They are sending their employees to Manchester, UK. I came to know from one their employee may be he claims as an employee of vertex. Saying that vertex sends their employees to UK for training and placed them there only.

Anyone please respond.

Dear MCLA,

Why are you so raw at politicians. Let us put on record that we are not against anybody. Can you not think beyond ‘them vs us’. Why not work on the premise of ‘them and us’. It is not so difficult if you give up your preconceived notions.

Besides, people can change, can they not. If we go by your premise then the average US citizen should go into unrest and let a civil war break out. That, friend, is no solution for anything.

The solution is for all of us to work together. If there are differences let us iron them out. Confrontation is the tool of last resort, at least to us it is.

Hope we’ve been able to pour our mind to your queries. You may accept our argument or otherwise, but please give us the right to opinion. There is enough hate in this world. Lets put in our bit to reduce some, amicably. What do you say!

You lost me there, dude.

You mean to say, hard working people in IT and BPO, who actually have to put in 12 hours a day at a job, should demand that the son of a politician to be their saviour? Who is this Rahul Gandhi? What has he done in his entire pointless life to deserve a minute of my time, let alone my support? Has he put 15 years of his life grinding away at a thankless job that made him more and more obsolete and unmarketable with experience? Has he known real poverty? Has he been one pay check away from insolvency? Has he lived in constant fear of losing his job and not finding another? What exactly does he know about the life of a worker that he deserves to represent them?

I tell you what he is. He is a parasite who has lived his entire life on taxes extorted from us. And now it’s clear he intends to continue living off our labour the rest of his life. And you want me to support him.

Dude, I don’t know what your politics are. I don’t know what you mean by “BPO Union Supports Rahul Gandhi” unless you mean just yourself. I am no part of this obsequious enterprise. Count me out. Thanks you very much, but I don’t need saviours. Politicians have lived forever off the blood and sweat of workers. That’s bad enough. But your pretending to represent workers’ rights and asking us to support our biggest enemies, man, makes me wonder which side you are on.

Good bye. It was nice while it lasted.

i m working in a international bpo.I have seen in most of the bpo’s employee harrasment is too high.
They are paying nothing & want 100 % productivity from us.Otherwise,we would be terminated.The worst scenario is they are hiring fresh ones to save their cost and want to throw old employees without any reason,just to save cost & appraisal.The governmant is sleeping on this issue,they are more keen on winning elections.And spreading this rumours that this is a economically developed india where employee life is even worse than slaves.

As i can understand lay-offs in european markets,because the salary structure there is too high.However,in india international bpo’s are paying nothing & require zero% tolerance policies.

hi,
is there any idea about calling its freshers from 2008 batch.i heard that keane is getting more profit than other IT families, is that true?? and also there is an info saying that it has signed project with US airforce till 2020. Then y r the recruits still awaited? is it worth 2 wait for this company?

Hi, i am an ex- employee of caritor, now keane.I had left teh company after 6 months from when it became keane.From my expierience, its a very good place for freshers to learn the job. but after around 18 to 20 months of exp., you tend to get staurated completely.
moreover, you dont get any great benefits other than your salary and a gold or silver certificate for the best performer(no cash associated)once in 3 or 6 months.
caritor/current keane was as stinchy as ever even when there was no recession, so now i don know to what extend they have gone now.
Now after they started firing people in a very disrespectful fashion, i am very happy that i switched to my current employer who keeps updating us regularly of the financial condition of the company and informs well in advance of the cost cutting measures taken so as not to touch the employee salary and also assures to do their maximum possiblr to keep our jobs intact.

Once you have worked in any good company which give good benefits, i dont think keane india is a good place by any means, because they have the habit of overloading their resources(caritor legacy carried foreward), for example one project manager handling 8 to 10 projects and he /she barely knows his resources.

Anyway, this is my view point, it may vary from person to person.
